Integrated at Work and Exteriors at Work collaborated on a complete interior and exterior transformation of Northeastern University’s iconic Snell Library. This project showcases our team’s expertise in managing complex architectural product integrations, from high-performance exteriors to highly customized, multifunctional interiors.

This innovative renovation reimagined how students and faculty interact with learning spaces, blending flexible interiors with modern exterior upgrades.

Highlights

: Design and delivery of 18,000+ SF of custom Muraflex PODS – a first-of-its-kind solution for this project.
: Fully integrated aluminum structures with Planica solid wall partitions, engineered to support HVAC, electrical systems, and enhanced acoustics.
: 46 freestanding meeting spaces were created, transforming the library’s functionality and collaborative capabilities.

Interior Scope 

: 5,000+ SF of Muraflex Fino demountable walls
: Complete package of pivot, sliding, and telescoping glass doors for flexibility, transparency, and acoustic privacy
: Fire-rated TGP SuperLite glazing, impact-rated glass stair dividers, and custom markerboards across collaborative zones

Exterior Scope 

: Alpolic metal composite wall panels
: Oldcastle Reliance SS curtain wall system, totaling over 2,300 SF of upgraded façade
: 8 pairs of custom Ellison balanced doors, integrated with stainless steel portals for a bold, durable entrance

Integrated at Work provided and installed demountable wall systems for the Dynatrace office fit-out at 280 Congress Street, ensuring a sleek and cohesive design.

Installation was carefully coordinated to minimize disruption to building operations, with work scheduled during night shifts starting at 8 PM and 10-hour windows allocated for delivery and installation. Thanks to precise field measurements, a clean glass order, and the efficiency of the J&G installation team, the project was completed ahead of schedule.

Integrated at Work was engaged to support the transformation of the client’s lobby and coffee bar as part of a strategic interior remodel. The project involved the precise installation of custom glass railing systems, which enhanced both safety and aesthetic appeal.

This project demanded a high level of coordination and craftsmanship. Our team participated in multiple design and logistics meetings with the architect to ensure the final result reflected the intended vision. Leveraging advanced laser scanning technology, we generated accurate measurements, detected discrepancies early, and maintained tight alignment with the design intent.

The result: IAW delivered a flawless installation that reflects our commitment to quality, collaboration, and service excellence.

Scope

: 510 SF of glass railing, aligned with strict design tolerances, utilizing FHC USA components and Oldcastle glass
: Custom glass railing system with aluminum standoffs, handrail, base shoe, and glass cap

Integrated at Work partnered with the design and construction teams on the interior renovation of Sheraton Back Bay, transforming an existing public space into a refined, high-end environment that blends functionality with aesthetic sophistication. The renovation focused on demountable wall systems, architectural glass, and sliding/pivoting door systems, elevating the hotel’s interior with modern, flexible, and visually striking solutions.

The most distinctive design feature of this project is the custom, antiqued mirror glass ceiling installed above the bar. Its soft, warm brass undertones offer a subtle yet impactful finish, tying the space together and highlighting the thoughtful material choices throughout. The result is a space that feels elevated and timeless, with layered textures and clean lines that speak to both the craftsmanship and creativity that Integrated at Work can offer its clients.

Our team demonstrated expertise in blending modern solutions with architectural character by seamlessly integrating 79 LF of 4SPACE walls into the historic post-and-beam mill building. This project highlights IAW’s ability to deliver cutting-edge interiors that enhance aesthetics and performance.

MIT Schwarzman College of Computing was a significant project completed by Integrated at Work (IAW) in collaboration with Suffolk, the general contractor, and SOM, the architect.
